Conversions Tech Engineering: How We Design, Test & Manufacture Electrical Components (2026)
Mar 21, 2026
Conversions Tech is not a reseller. We are an engineering-driven manufacturer and distributor that controls the design, tooling, testing, and quality assurance behind every product we ship. This page explains what that means in practice — and why it matters for the contractors, OEMs, and distributors who depend on our components.
Vertical Integration: We Own the Process
Every CAD file, injection mold, die design, and QA protocol behind Conversions Tech products is developed and owned in-house. We do not license third-party designs or rebrand commodity imports. This vertical control delivers three advantages that pure distributors cannot match:
Tighter tolerances. When we control the tooling, we control the dimensional accuracy. Our compression lug barrel IDs are held to +/-0.002 inches — tighter than the UL 486A/B requirement — because we own the extrusion dies and inspect every production run.
Faster iteration. When a customer needs a modified product — different barrel length, non-standard stud size, custom plating — we modify the CAD and cut new tooling in-house rather than submitting change requests to an overseas factory. Turnaround for custom OEM runs is typically 2-4 weeks, not 2-4 months.
