EMT Straps and Hangers
EMT and rigid straps, conduit hangers, and strut clamps, 1/2" through 2-1/2" — electro-galvanized one-hole EMT straps (cross RACO 2082–2088), one- and two-hole rigid straps (RACO 1332/1333 class), malleable-iron rigid straps, conduit hangers with carriage bolt and nut for all-thread and strut, and midget straps for 1/4" tubing. The rule (NEC 358.30): EMT fastened within 3 ft of every box, cabinet, or fitting and at intervals not over 10 ft; rigid and IMC intervals scale with size (10 ft at 1/2"–3/4" up to 20 ft at 3"). One-hole straps are the default on walls and framing; two-hole straps where the strap resists rotation on heavy or vertical runs and on masonry; hangers with bolt and nut for runs suspended on all-thread or strut.
