Fiber Optic Connectivity

Factory-terminated fiber optic connectivity, engineered for the field. Single-mode patch cables, pigtails, attenuators, and passive optics — every terminated assembly is 100% factory tested for insertion loss and return loss before it ships, with test data available on request. Any connector pair, length, polish, or jacket built to your specification.

100% Tested
Per-assembly insertion-loss and return-loss verification. If it doesn't meet spec on the bench, it doesn't ship.
Built to Spec
90+ stocked configurations, 1–45 m. Custom connector pairs, jackets, duplex, and multimode without overseas MOQs.
Real Engineering Support
Talk to people who can read a link-loss budget. Polish, split ratio, attenuation value — we help you get it right before you order.
B2B Programs
Contractor, distributor, and wholesale tiers. Project quoting at (307) 206-0534.

Stocked lines cover simplex single-mode patch cables in every common SC, LC, and FC combination (UPC and APC polish), outdoor duplex assemblies, fixed attenuators, LC/APC pigtails, and splicing accessories. The full fiber line — MTP/MPO trunks, PLC and FBT splitters, splice closures, distribution boxes and frames, patch panels, and outdoor cabinets — is available to order: see the CT-31 Fiber Optic Connectivity Catalog and call for a same-week quotation.

Lead time: Fiber assemblies are made to order. Typical lead time is 3–4 weeks from order confirmation. Expedited scheduling available on request.

Fiber Optic FAQ

What's the difference between UPC and APC fiber connectors?

UPC (blue) connectors use a flat-domed polish with return loss around 50 dB. APC (green) connectors are polished at an 8° angle, reflecting stray light into the cladding for return loss above 60 dB. APC is the standard for GPON/EPON, RF-over-glass, and CATV. Never mate APC to UPC — the geometry mismatch creates an air gap, high loss, and can permanently damage both end-faces.

Should I choose SC or LC connectors?

LC's small form factor doubles port density and dominates modern transceivers and data center hardware. SC's larger push-pull body remains the standard in FTTH drops, PON splitters, and CATV plant. Most real networks need both — which is why SC-to-LC hybrid patch cables are our most-stocked configurations.

What is OS2 fiber and when do I need single-mode?

OS2 is the outside-plant grade of 9/125 µm single-mode fiber, supporting 1310/1550 nm links from meters to tens of kilometers. Choose single-mode for FTTH/PON, campus and metro links, and any run beyond multimode's ~550 m 10G limit — or anywhere you want the glass to outlive several generations of electronics.

Are your fiber patch cables tested?

Yes — every terminated assembly is 100% factory tested for insertion loss (≤0.3 dB per connector) and return loss before shipment. Test documentation is available on request.

Can you build custom fiber assemblies?

Yes. Any connector combination (SC, LC, FC, ST, MU, MTP/MPO), length, jacket (PVC, LSZH, outdoor-rated), simplex/duplex, single-mode or OM3/OM4 multimode — plus custom labeling and private branding. Call (307) 206-0534 or use the contact form with your specification.

Why is a made-to-order patch cable better than marketplace stock?

Marketplace cables are commodity pulls with unknown polish quality and no test data. Made-to-order means the exact length and connector pair your link needs, factory tested and documented — so certification passes the first time and the loss budget holds.
