The Conversions Tech Copper Short Barrel One-Hole Compression Lug is a spec-built terminal connector for 250 MCM copper conductors. Engineered for medium-power electrical applications, this lug features a 1/4-inch bolt hole for standard terminal compatibility and a sight window for visual verification of conductor insertion and crimp quality. The tin-plated copper construction provides corrosion resistance while maintaining conductivity. Yellow color coding per industry standards allows for quick field identification. Designed for use in switchgear, panelboards, motor control centers, and power distribution equipment where reliable terminations are critical.

Cross-Reference

Equivalent to standard short-barrel one-hole compression lugs from major manufacturers. Form factor matches industry-standard 250 MCM terminal lugs used in Crouse-Hinds, Appleton, and Burndy type applications. Spec-built by certified partner factories to Conversions Tech engineering requirements.

FAQ

What crimping tool and die should I use with this lug?

Use a compression tool with die index I-62. Always verify the die index marking on your tooling before crimping. The sight window allows visual confirmation that the conductor is fully inserted before compression.

Is this lug rated for 90°C conductor ampacity?

Yes. The 90°C temperature rating supports full ampacity of 250 MCM copper conductors per NEC tables. Verify your application does not exceed 35 kV. Temperature rating applies to the lug itself; final assembly ratings depend on complete termination conditions.

Can I use this lug with aluminum conductors?

No. This lug is specified for copper conductors only. The tin plating and barrel dimensions are engineered for copper. Using with aluminum conductors requires a different product rated for that material combination.
