FAQ
Is this connector rated for EMT only, or can it be used with rigid conduit?
This connector is designed specifically for 1-1/4" Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT). It is not intended for use with rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC), which require different thread and compression specifications.
What does "concrete-tight" mean for this fitting?
Concrete-tight indicates the compression mechanism forms a seal at the box knockout that prevents concrete slurry from entering during poured-in-place installations. Proper torque on the compression nut is required to achieve the rated seal.
Is separate grounding hardware required with this connector?
No. The steel compression design provides grounding continuity between the EMT and the enclosure when properly installed, meeting UL bonding requirements without additional grounding bushings or jumpers.
