Crimp It Right
6 AWG → Die Index 24 Blue
This lug crimps with any 12-ton U-groove tool using the index-24 die — ours, or your matching die: Burndy® U5CRT — Milwaukee® 49-12-U006 — ILSCO® ILD-24, or T&B® Color-Keyed® index 24. The die embosses “24” into the finished crimp for inspection.

The Conversions Tech Copper Compression Lug is a short-barrel, two-hole connector engineered for terminating 6 AWG copper conductors in medium-power electrical systems. Designed for panelboard, switchgear, and equipment grounding applications, this lug features a standard barrel profile with a sight window for visual crimp verification. The seamless electro tin-plated copper construction provides corrosion resistance, while the blue color code enables quick field identification. With 3/4-inch hole spacing and 5/16-inch stud compatibility, this lug delivers stable, dual-point mounting for secure electrical connections.

FAQ

What crimping tool and die should I use with this lug?

Use a compression tool with die index I-24. The sight window allows visual confirmation that the crimp is fully seated. Always follow your tool manufacturer's instructions for proper crimp cycle completion.

Is this lug rated for the voltage I need?

This lug is rated for 35 kV. Verify your application voltage requirements and consult applicable NEC or local code requirements for your specific installation environment.

Why does hole spacing matter for two-hole lugs?

The 3/4-inch hole spacing ensures compatibility with standard busbar and equipment terminal patterns. Verify your equipment's mounting hole spacing matches 3/4 inch center-to-center before installation.
