4/0 Compression Lugs

4/0 AWG is one of the most common conductor sizes on service entrances, feeders, battery banks, generators and welding leads. Conversions Tech stocks 4/0 copper compression lugs in one-hole and two-hole patterns, with standard and long barrels, so you can match the lug to the conductor, the stud and the termination spec in one order. In-stock items ship the same day from Oxnard, CA.

Why choose a 4/0 compression lug from Conversions Tech

  • Tin-plated copper. The tin plating helps resist oxidation and corrosion at the barrel and tongue.
  • UL Listed and 35kV rated. Each product page lists the full spec table, including temperature rating and ampacity.
  • Standard or long barrel. Standard barrels fit most panel and equipment terminations. Long barrels give more crimp length where the spec calls for it.
  • One-hole or two-hole. Two-hole lugs resist rotation on bus bars and equipment pads. One-hole lugs fit single-stud terminals.

How to pick the right 4/0 lug

  1. Confirm the conductor. These lugs are for 4/0 AWG copper conductors. Check the stranding class on the product page.
  2. Match the stud. Measure the stud or bolt on the equipment. Stock covers 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" studs.
  3. Choose holes and barrel. Use two-hole where the equipment pad has two holes or where rotation is a concern. Use long barrel where your spec or the AHJ requires it.
  4. Use the right die. Crimp with the die index shown on the product page. See our compression lug dies and 12-ton crimpers.
