Where it's required
- Every metal raceway landing at service equipment — NEC 250.92(B)
- Raceways in concentric or eccentric knockouts on circuits over 250 V to ground — NEC 250.97
- Conductors 4 AWG and larger entering an enclosure — insulated throat per NEC 300.4(G)
How to install
Thread the bushing onto the conduit or connector end inside the enclosure after the locknut, hand-tight plus a quarter turn with a wrench on the flats. Lay the bonding jumper (Table 250.102(C)(1) at services, Table 250.122 elsewhere) into the lug, torque the lug screw, and bond to the enclosure ground bus. Code basis and sizing: Grounding Accessories and the NEC.
