The Conversions Tech two-hole copper compression lug terminates 8 AWG conductors in industrial power distribution, switchgear, and control panel applications. The long barrel design accommodates full-length compression crimps for maximum pull-out strength and current-carrying capacity. Tin-plated copper construction resists oxidation in standard indoor and controlled outdoor environments. Red color coding supports phase identification during installation and maintenance.

FAQ
What crimping tool is required for this lug?
Use a compression tool with dies sized for 8 AWG long-barrel lugs. The extended barrel requires full-length crimping to achieve rated ampacity and pull-out strength. Verify die compatibility with the 15.2 mm barrel outer diameter.
Does the 90°C rating apply to all installations?
The 90°C rating applies when the lug is installed with 90°C-rated conductors and in accordance with NEC ampacity correction factors for ambient temperature and bundling. Actual operating temperature may be limited by other system components.
Why two holes instead of one?
Two-hole mounting prevents lug rotation under vibration or thermal cycling, distributing mechanical stress across two points. The 1" spacing fits standard busbar and terminal block configurations.
Why Pros Buy Direct from Conversions Tech
