The SR SN5 Normalizer is designed to reduce the 250-750MHz (B-Band) power level to a level comparable to the 9501450 MHz (Ku-Band) signal. This minimizes the tendency of over driving amplifiers in a distribution system.
The Normalizer typically precedes the first amplifier in the trunk of a DirecTV Ka/Ku distribution system. All Ports are power-passing. The 72.5W and 95W signals (when present) are not required to have normalization since they do not have a 250 750 MHz signal present. Hence, the SR SN5 does not accommodate these Ku signals
