Everything needed to build a Starlink Mini into an RV except the dish: DC power conversion from the house battery, a PoE injector and splitter so one sealed cable goes to the roof, outdoor-rated Cat6 for the run, and a sealed wall bushing for the entry. Runs DC-native with no inverter, keeps the roof penetration to one cable, and gives the onboard router a LAN port for whole-coach Wi-Fi.

In the box

  • DC step-up converter, 12 V house battery to regulated 48 V
  • PoE injector with splitter, power and data on one Cat6, split back out at the dish
  • Outdoor UV-rated Cat6 cable for the roof run
  • Sealed wall bushing for a weatherproof pass-through

How it goes together

Converter ties to the 12 V bank through a fused circuit. Injector takes converter output and router data and sends both up one Cat6 through the bushing. Splitter at the roof feeds the Mini. Park, set the dish on a ladder, rack or tripod, and stow it before you drive. Typical draw is 25 to 40 W, which on native DC is 15 to 30 Ah from a 12 V bank overnight. A 24 V converter is available on request.
