The 61102HD dual-rated aluminum splicer-reducer joins or reduces conductors across 14 AWG to 1 AWG in a single tin-plated aluminum barrel with hex set-screw terminations: the fast, re-enterable alternative to a crimped splice for service entrance, panelboard feeder and tap-reduction work. AL9CU dual-rated for copper and aluminum, UL 486B class, 600 V, 90 C. Sold as a 2-pack; insulate with two half-lapped layers of rubber splicing tape and vinyl, or a listed heat-shrink sleeve, to the insulation level of the conductors.
Applications
- Service entrance conductor splices and repairs
- Reducing feeder taps to branch-circuit sizes, 14 AWG to 1 AWG
- Panelboard and meter-base conductor extensions
