Is this lug rated for outdoor use?

The tin-plated finish provides corrosion resistance. For outdoor or wet locations, seal the completed termination with adhesive-lined heat shrink to prevent moisture ingress.

Can this lug be used with aluminum wire?

No. This lug is designed for copper conductors only. Using aluminum wire will create a dissimilar metal connection subject to galvanic corrosion and elevated resistance.
